Behtar (behtar.co.in) is operated by Shreyansh Gupta, an individual sole proprietor based in India ("Behtar", "we", "us"). Contact: shreyiitkgp96@gmail.com.

By using the Behtar website or any Behtar product — including the Behtar: Prompt Improver browser extension and the Behtar Card Scanner web app (together, the "Service") — you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What the Service is

Behtar builds small, focused productivity tools. Behtar: Prompt Improver is a browser extension for Chrome and Edge that detects weak prompts on supported AI platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity) and suggests improved versions before you send them. Behtar Card Scanner is a web app that extracts contact details from visiting-card photos. The Service is delivered entirely online; nothing physical is shipped.

2. Current beta and account activation

Behtar: Prompt Improver is currently in a free beta: access is granted via an invite code sent by email, and no payment is collected today.

When the upcoming free/paid version of the Prompt Improver launches, activation will require verifying an email address. For the Prompt Improver there is no password and no account to manage — just an email so we can track your free usage and, if you subscribe, handle billing. You agree to provide an email address you control and not to create multiple activations to circumvent usage limits.

Behtar Card Scanner uses its own sign-in (email and password, or Google sign-in), since it stores your scanned contacts for you — see our Privacy Policy for exactly what it stores.

3. Plans and pricing

Each Behtar product has its own plans and pricing — the tiers below apply to Behtar: Prompt Improver only.

• Free: 20 prompt improvements per month, at no charge.
• Behtar Pro: US$4.99 per month, for up to 3,000 prompt improvements per month (with a cap of 100 per day).

Behtar Card Scanner is currently free to use. If paid plans are introduced for it in the future, they will have their own separate pricing and limits, announced on its product page before anything is charged.

Once payments go live, subscription payments will be processed by our payment partner(s) (Razorpay and/or Stripe); we never see or store your card, UPI, or bank details. Usage limits exist to keep the Service sustainable, and we may adjust plan prices or limits going forward — changes will be announced on this site and will never apply retroactively to a billing period you have already paid for.

4. Subscriptions, cancellation, and refunds

Behtar Pro (once live) is a monthly subscription: cancel anytime, no long-term contract. Cancelling stops future billing, and you keep Pro access until the end of the billing period you already paid for. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months; billing errors reported within 7 days will be made right. The full policy is on our Cancellation & Refund Policy page.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for anything unlawful, or submit content you do not have the right to use;
• attempt to circumvent usage limits, invite gating, email verification, or rate limiting (including by automated scripts, bots, or creating multiple accounts);
• resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties as your own offering;
• probe, disrupt, or overload our infrastructure, or attempt to access other users' data;
• use the Service to generate content that violates the acceptable-use policies of the AI platforms it works with.

6. AI-generated output

Improved prompts and extracted contact details are generated with AI. They can be wrong, incomplete, or unsuitable for your purpose. You are responsible for reviewing anything the Service produces before relying on it. You keep all rights you hold in the prompts and content you submit; we claim no ownership over them.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and the "Behtar" name and wordmark, belongs to the operator. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service under these Terms. No other rights are granted.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of output, or uninterrupted availability. The Service depends on third-party platforms and AI providers we do not control, and features may change or be discontinued, particularly during beta.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data, or business, arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time — uninstalling the extension removes its local data. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms (for example, confirmed abuse of usage limits), with notice where practicable. If a paid subscription is ever terminated by us without cause, we will refund the unused portion of the current billing period.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version, and material changes will be noted on this site. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of India.
